John, Furnish jet to Venice for honeymoon
Flamboyant singer Sir Elton John and David Furnish are honeymooning in Venice, Italy, following their 'wedding' in England on Dec. 21.
The singer/songwriter, 58, and Canadian film-maker, 43, 'married' under a new British law which came into effect the same day, giving official recognition of same sex relationships and the same employment, pension and inheritance rights as married couples.
Italian news agency ANSA reported the happy couple arrived in the aquatic Veneto city on Thursday, and are currently residing in their home on Giudecca - an island in Venice's lagoon.
The pair have been spotted taking a water taxi to Piazza Saint Marco (St Mark's Square), lunching at the world famous Harry's Bar and shopping.
