McCartney quits cannabis habit for Heather
Sir Paul McCartney quit his 40+ year marijuana habit for the sake of marital bliss, it has been revealed.
McCartney is reported to have smoked cannabis almost everyday since being introduced to the drug in the early 1960's, although was given an ultimatum by Heather Mills McCartney in 2002 prior to their wedding.
"Him and Linda (McCartney) smoked it every day for the whole of their lives together," Mills McCartney reveals," but I would not get married to him if he was taking drugs. I hate it."
According to reports, the former model was keen on the solo musician to set a good example for family.
"I could not have him lying to our child about not taking drugs and then going for a sneaky puff."
In other news, McCartney is rumoured to have turned down an award at this year's Brit's because he is too young.
McCartney, now 63, was in line to receive the Outstanding Contribution Award at the February event, but feels it would give the wrong message to his fans should he receive it. 47-year-old Paul Weller will now take the trophy home.
